NOBOWA Farm Estimator
Estimator Disclaimer
Important limitations on estimates, projections, reports and decisions made using the NOBOWA Farm Estimator.
1. Planning tool, not a guarantee
The NOBOWA Farm Estimator is a planning and decision-support tool.
Its estimates, projections, scenarios and reports are not guarantees of actual farm costs, production, sales, profitability, cash recovery or investment performance.
2. Agricultural and commercial uncertainty
Agricultural outcomes are affected by conditions that may change after an estimate is produced.
- input and selling prices
- weather and climate conditions
- disease, pests and mortality
- crop or livestock productivity
- feed, seed, genetics and input quality
- management practices and labour
- market access and buyer behaviour
- finance costs
- infrastructure and logistics
- laws, regulations and taxes
3. User information matters
The accuracy and usefulness of an estimate depend partly on the information supplied by the user.
Where reliable project-specific information is available, users should use it in preference to generic reference assumptions.
4. Reference assumptions
NOBOWA reference assumptions are planning inputs, not promises that a particular price, cost, yield, mortality rate, production level or other value will occur.
Reference assumptions may be revised as newer or better information becomes available.
5. Reference dates
Prices and other market-sensitive assumptions should be considered in relation to their stated reference dates.
A value that was reasonable when researched may later become outdated because of market or operating changes.
6. Professional advice
The Estimator and its reports do not constitute financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, veterinary or other regulated professional advice.
Agronomic and production information is provided for planning support and does not replace project-specific professional advice where such advice is appropriate.
7. Financing and investment decisions
A Full Investment Report may be used as supporting material in discussions with banks, investors, partners or other project stakeholders.
It should not be represented as an independent valuation, credit approval, investment recommendation or guarantee by NOBOWA.
Recipients should conduct whatever additional due diligence they consider appropriate.
8. Estimate-specific reports
A Full Investment Report reflects the estimate, assumptions and model state associated with the report.
If material assumptions change, conclusions in an earlier report may no longer describe the revised project.
9. Statutory rights
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or restricts a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable Ghanaian law.
