1. Boost Metabolism in the body

Vitamin B helps to boost metabolic activity in the body and is found in quail egg. It also enhances hormonal and enzymatic function. Quail eggs aid smooth processes and organ functions in the body.

2. Balance levels of Cholesterol

Quail eggs is also made up of beneficial fatty acids. HDL (high-density lipoprotein) cholesterol is the “good” form of cholesterol that our body needs to offset the negative effects of LDL (low-density lipoprotein) or bad cholesterol. HDL is made up of more than 60% of the fat in quail’s egg. However, for people with cholesterol problems, consuming large quantities of the eggs can create health problems.

Quail eggs is a protein source like regular chicken egg and is required by the body for various functions. The protein is used to rebuild cell, tissues, muscle, bone and blood vessels.

There are significant amounts of Vitamin A and Vitamin C in quail egg. These are antioxidants that help to neutralize and battle free radicals that may cause chronic diseases.

Ovomucoid protein is a component of the quail egg that acts as a natural anti-allergenic in the body.  So, when you are suffering from congestion, inflammation or other symptoms of allergy, quail egg can restore you to normal.

Side Effects of Quail Eggs

Although quail eggs are good for the body it is advisable to eat them in moderation as excessive consumption can lead to some severe side effects. These are a few.

1. Too many antioxidants are not good for the body. Although antioxidants are good for us and provide a number of benefits, it is better to eat quail eggs in moderation as too many antioxidants in our system can do more harm than the good. Excessive levels of antioxidants may increase the chances of cancer development. The reason the excessive level of antioxidants increases the risk of cancer is that of the fact that in excessive quantity, they also start targeting the healthy cells around them and thus increases the risk of cancer.

2. Quail eggs can soothe allergies. However, this benefit might not be true for everyone. Quail eggs may cause or worsen allergic reactions. Some people may be allergic to eggs and quail eggs may not be an exception.

3. Quail eggs may not be suitable for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a complicated stage in a woman’s life. What she consumes contributes to her wellness as well as the fetus in her womb. We advise that at this stage, food item consumed are upon the advice of a specialist.

4. Eating too many quail eggs are bad for our stomach and should be avoided. It can cause problems like intestinal gas, intestinal blockage, flatulence etc.

5. Quail eggs are beneficial for controlling diabetes. However, eating too many quail eggs may lower your blood sugar to an abnormally low level, and may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.

6. Quail egg is good for high blood pressure. However, excessive consumption will lead to too much potassium in your body which may lower your blood pressure to an abnormally low level and might increase the risk of hypotension ( low blood pressure).
