Passion

Farming is one business that requires a sufficient amount of passion to venture into. If you do not love agriculture, well, think twice before you start one for other reasons. Moreover, in times of failure, only passionate farmers stand tall to start again. This is actually a general principle in business. We noted also, that successful farms are run by passionate farmers.

Knowledge and Will to learn

Successful farmers are always searching and open to new ideas and technologies to improve self and business. This helps to always be abreast with the current trends of farming and to make very good decisions. Knowledge is power.

Problem Solving Abilities

Like other business, a farmer requires creative thinking during setbacks and other challenges. A common quality of successful farmers is their courage to face and provide solutions for various problems that arise during the day-to-day running of the farm. Their unique innovations in handling challenges set them apart from others who rely on only common instructions from books and other manuals.

Successful farmers, ahead of time, plan to solve all marketing challenges which remains a major problem in agriculture.

Team player

Another quality realized was the ability to pull along others working with you or under you in the farming business. Every member or employee is vital to the growth and success of a farming business and it takes skills to harness the variety of ideas and abilities of all members. Team players see the need to keep a united and motivated team for high productivity. Farmers with this unique skill usually experience faster and sustainable growth in business.
